Faits et méfaits, Édition ALBA-L’Orient-Le-Jour, 2008, is the finalization and publication of my Master's project at the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts. For many months, I delved into the archives of L'Orient-Le-Jour, meticulously transcribing numerous news stories that spanned from 1995 to 2005, under the "Lebanese News" section in a small column titled "Faits et méfaits." Forty stories were ultimately selected and illustrated. In this work, the monstrous, the morbid, the criminal, and the tragic coexist on a razor's edge with the comical, the absurd, the incredible, the unusual, and the trivial. The book was co-published by L'Orient-Le-Jour and ALBA Édition in 2008. The illustrations were exhibited at the French Cultural Center in Beirut during the book signing event.
